This photo came about totally by accident. I was walking around in some tall field grass when I stumbled and tripped. As I fell, my finger brushed the shutter release on my camera producing this image. It was a complete fluke! I was more then surprised to discover that it didn't actually turn out that bad.
(ISO 100, 50mm, f/5.6, 1/800sec)
I then went back out and tried a couple more shots to see if i could duplicate my findings. This is what I got.

Road trip into the North Cascades
A couple of weeks ago my family and I managed a short road trip up into the North Cascades. It was absolutely stunning. Beautiful mountain peaks under a bright blue sky, i couldn't have asked for better weather. It was also a great opportunity to use some new camera gear! :)
Gear used:
~Canon EOS 60D with tri-pod
~70-300mm telephoto lens
~10-24 wide-angle lens
The beauty of the Cascades....
The highest of the peaks were still completely frozen.
These were the only clouds in the sky all day.
On the way back, I found this cool little waterfall. It was absolutely freezing but i think worth the stop.
The foothills.

Working with Water
Found myself messing around with water and fast shutter speeds. Here is one of the results.
